VISTA — CHICAGO skyline

A Bold Skyline Statement in Glass

Project Overview

For a recent installation in a Chicago company’s conference room, we created a striking glass artwork that reimagines the city's iconic skyline. Using a bold palette of blue and white glass set against a deep black background, the piece transforms the familiar downtown silhouette into a dynamic, graphic composition that captures Chicago’s soaring architectural presence.

Design Inspiration

The artwork draws inspiration from the breathtaking city views seen from Museum Campus, where the urban skyline meets the expanse of Lake Michigan. By foregrounding the lake and surrounding foliage, the piece highlights Chicago’s unique relationship with nature—its harmonious balance between built and natural environments. The contrast between the crisp geometry of the skyline and the fluid forms of water and greenery adds depth and visual interest.

Material & Execution

The choice of glass as the medium enhances the design’s impact, with shifting light creating subtle variations in color and tone throughout the day. The interplay of transparency, reflection, and opacity gives the piece a sense of movement, ensuring it remains visually engaging from multiple angles and distances.

Impact

Installed as a focal point in the company’s conference room, this artwork serves as both an artistic statement and a conversation piece. It reinforces a sense of place, connecting employees and visitors to the city’s identity while offering a moment of visual escape. The bold contrast and dynamic composition bring energy to the space, making it not just a decorative element, but an integral part of the room’s atmosphere.

This project exemplifies how art can transform corporate spaces, creating a meaningful connection between environment, identity, and design.
