Art Commissions + Process
Custom artwork for contemporary architectural spaces
Heather Hancock creates dimensional, site-specific artwork designed for integration into healthcare, corporate, hospitality, and residential environments. Her work combines concrete, glass inlay, and anodized aluminum to produce durable, texture-forward installations that respond to light and movement.
Her aesthetic blends clean-lined urban minimalism with abstracted biophilic references, translating natural and architectural forms into compositions that feel both contemporary and grounded in place. Work can be developed from existing series or as fully site-specific concepts, with flexibility in scale, palette, and configuration—from single feature pieces to multi-panel installations.

Key Considerations
-
Projects range from 20” x 20” single panels to multi-panel, full-wall installations.
Max individual panel size is 84” x 48” (with prior planning for transport and shipping).
-
Approximately 3 lbs PSF — lighter than most framed artworks and easy to install.
-
Panels can be ordered in two formats:
Ready to Hang
Small works (< 4 SF): Framed in Nielsen Ridgeline metal frame.
Large works (4+ SF): Produced as edged panels with anodized aluminum trim and integrated cleat (security hardware optional). The aluminum edging creates a clean profile—1 3/16" deep with a subtle 1/8" outline on the panel face—for a sleek, finished look.
Ready to Frame
Work ships on 1" substrate, designed to be finished in a frame of your choice.
-
Hand-cut 3mm glass set in a mortar bed on lightweight Wedi substrate.
Matte textured grout creates a continuous, durable surface.
Complimentary 8” x 8” handheld samples available for client meetings.
-
Simply remove dust or marks with a dry microfiber cloth.
Concrete can be fully sealed when required (ie healthcare, exterior settings).
-
Commissions are priced individually based on size, scope, and complexity. Get in touch to get quick ballpark quotes.
Trade pricing is available for qualified resellers and I can align timelines and deliverables with project schedules.
-
Glass responds beautifully to natural and ambient light.
Custom lighting enhances vibrancy:
Downlighting or wall wash will highlight textures.Indirect or 45° angled lighting creates shimmer and depth.
Permanently colorfast under all conditions.
-
Glass and concrete are highly durable. Glass is permanently lightfast. Concrete textures can be sealed for healthcare or exterior environments.
-
With a prior career in healthcare, I’m deeply interested in bringing dynamic, dimensional art into the healthcare setting to create an engaging interior environment for patients, visitors and staff.
