Invited Design Concept: Florida Botanicals

Explored Florida botanicals for a recent invited design concept.

Where Light Rests explores the meeting place between land, water, and light—the quiet threshold where ecological systems overlap and continually reshape one another. Inspired by the layered landscapes surrounding the clients’ location in Florida, the composition distills the rhythms of shoreline grasses, shifting water, reflected light, and emerging seed forms into a contemporary abstract language.

Rather than depicting a specific place, the installation evokes the experience of being immersed in nature, creating a visual environment that feels both timeless and restorative.

Designed to engage viewers at multiple scales, the installation offers a calming presence from across the corridor while revealing increasing layers of texture, light, and detail upon closer viewing.
